Recently, the key equipment upgrade and renovation project for the Phase III desulfurization system at a power plant in Shaanxi was successfully completed. The original Xiangtan Electric Machinery Factory motors for the desulfurization absorption tower circulation pumps were successfully replaced, and the high-performance motors manufactured by Xi'an Simo Motor Co., Ltd. have been officially put into operation. It is understood that the replaced desulfurization absorption tower circulation pump motor is considered the "power heart" of the desulfurization system, whose operational stability directly determines desulfurization efficiency and environmental emission indicators. The newly operational Simo motor, model YXKK560-4-1250KW-10KV, boasts a first-class energy efficiency certification, with a rated power of 1250 kilowatts and a voltage level of 10 kilovolts. Its core bearings utilize the internationally renowned brand SKF. This configuration is specifically designed for the high-load, continuous operation conditions of power plants, effectively reducing equipment vibration and temperature rise, significantly extending service life, and lowering operational maintenance costs from the source.

 

The head of the power plant's Equipment Management Department explained that the original Xiangtan motor had been in service for many years. With increasing operational years, issues such as equipment aging and rising failure frequency emerged, coupled with extended spare parts supply cycles, posing potential risks to system stability. To thoroughly address this pain point, the power plant established a special technical team. Through multiple rounds of performance testing, technical demonstration, and supplier comparison, Simo Motor was ultimately selected as the replacement solution.
